He was born in Nashville, Tennessee on November 12, 1941. Jimmy graduated from Hume Fogg in 1959. He was married, shortly after graduation, to Judith E. Lund on June 22, 1959. Jimmy joined the Air National Guard in his youth and later made a name for himself as a dedicated and talented printer. His reputation for workmanship and diligence became known throughout the mid-south; during his thirty plus years in the industry. Jimmy’s work ethic spilled over into his personal life. He was often seen lending a helping hand or offering the shirt off of his back. When he wasn’t working Jimmy’s favorite place to be was the great outdoors on either his coveted Harley or one of his numerous boats over the years. When spending time with his closest friends at the boat dock his smile and “Snyder” sense of humor could light up a room.
Jimmy was preceded in death by Mother, Martha Grace Pryor Greer, Father, William Sheffield Snyder, and Stepmother, Mattie Pearl Allen Snyder. He was survived by his wife of almost 62 years Judith; children Bill (Debbie) Snyder, Tracy (Kevin) Pointer and Eric (Jamie) Snyder; grandchildren Dalton (Colleen) Snyder, Joshua (Liana) Snyder, Kaitlin (Spiriden) Jones, Shelby (Wacey) Barnett, Jacob Snyder, Trevin Pointer, Lucas Snyder, and Francesca Snyder; and siblings Sharon (Mark) Cole, Owen (Karen) Snyder, Robert (Martha) Snyder, and Tina (Troy) Carver; and a host of nieces and nephews.
