There will be a Gathering of Family & Friends for James on Monday, May 12, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hermitage Funeral Home and on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, at Hermitage Funeral Home. A Celebration of James' Life will be on Tuesday at 11:00 AM in the Tulip Grove Chapel at the funeral home with Dr. Jud Hays officiating. Thomas Progel, Steven Carlton, T.J. Carlton, James Hedgecoth, Terry Carlton, and Thomas Hickman will serve as pallbearers. James' nephews and grandnephews will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Following the service, James will be laid to rest in the Garden of Peace at Hermitage Memorial Gardens, 535 Shute Lane, Old Hickory, TN 37138. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared with the Wheeler family by at www.HermitageFH.com.
