James Howard Wright

WRIGHT, James Howard Sr. Age 86. June 18, 1928 to August 16, 2014. James was the son of the late Clyde Embert Wright Sr. and Effie Josephine (Dickerson) Wright. He graduated from Hume Fogg High School, and retired from the United States Postal Service in 1988. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1950-1952 in Korea and Japan. James and Dru had been married 64 years. They were members of Campbell Road Church of Christ. Mr. Wright is pre-deceased by son Jeremy Scott Wright., and brother Clyde E. Wright Jr.

He is survived by wife Drusilla Claire (Brazil) Wright; daughters Lynn Wright Garrison (Bill), Beth Wright Lee (Jerry); and son James Howard Wright Jr.; brother William Wayne Wright (Lynn). He has five grandchildren: James C. Estes (Christi); Jennifer C. Lemmons (Scott); Jay C. Landrum (Amanda); Marissa J. Wright; and Braden W. Wright, and seven great-grandchildren: Christian Landrum, Hunter Landrum, Sam Lemmons, Sarah Lemmons, Price Estes, and Anna Estes, and Ellie Claire Benefield. Pall bearers will be Grandsons Jim Estes, Jay Landrum, and Braden Wright, great-grandsons Christian Landrum, Sam Lemmons and Price Estes, and grandson-in-law Scott Lemmons. Honorary pall bearer is grandson Pfc. Hunter Landrum.

Services will be conducted by Bro. Doug Hagewood. Visitation will be at Hermitage Funeral Home on Monday, Aug. 18 from 4:00-8:00 pm, and on Tuesday, Aug. 19 from noon until 2:00pm. Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm.. Interment to follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
