

Jan will be remembered for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and selfless nature. She was a devoted mother, a loving Grammy, a treasured friend, and a wonderful neighbor. Jan was an avid quilter who found great joy in creating beautiful quilts. She also enjoyed attending the Donelson YMCA, where she stayed active, and cherished the friendships she made along the way. Her kind heart, warm smile, and genuine interest in others made her a beloved friend and neighbor. Her generosity, patience, and caring spirit left a lasting impression on her family, friends, and community.
She is survived by her daughter, Holly (Scott) Greenwood; her beloved grandchildren, Madeline Greenwood, Mason Greenwood, and Wilson Greenwood; her sister, Bettye (Alan) Broadwater; her former husband and soulmate, Jerry Hackett; and numerous cherished friends and neighbors.
Jan was preceded in death by her son, Toby Hackett, and her parents, Bill and Helen Wilson.
Jan's legacy of love, kindness, creativity, and devotion to her family and friends will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 9, 2026 from 3:00pm ~ 7:00pm and Friday July 10, 2026 from 12:00pm ~ 1:00pm with a Celebration of Life at 1:00pm and the burial to follow at Hermitage Funeral Home 535 Shute Lane old Hickory, TN 37138.
