Jennifer "JD" Michelle Vincent

Vincent, Jennifer Michelle Dowdy, aged 40, passed away on December 22, 2022 in Lebanon, TN. Jennifer was a loved daughter, sister, wife, mother and friend. She was born on April 14, 1982 in Bad Brückenau, Germany to Kenneth Wayne Dowdy and Susan Gill Dowdy (Wallace). She was a “military brat” and lived in Wildflecken, Germany, Alpena, MI, Junction City, KS and Columbus, GA until her dad’s retirement in 1994. The family then moved back to the Hermitage/Old Hickory, TN area.

JD (as she liked to be called) loved her family and friends. As a teen, she attended the Old Hickory Church of the Nazarene where she was loved and attended McGavock High School. She and Michael Shane Vincent married at her father’s home in Pleasant View, TN on December 17, 2005. They were then blessed in 2006 with twins, Jackie Wayne and Emma Mai.

She is preceded in death by grandparents, Ilene Dowdy Spalding of Old Hickory and Roy and Alene Gill of Hermitage. She leaves behind, her husband, Michael and children, Jack and Emma of Lebanon, parents, Ken (Sharman) Dowdy of Pleasant View and Susan (Rich) Wallace of Mt. Juliet. Brothers, James (Johanna) Dowdy of Hermitage, Jared (Jessica) Dowdy of Hendersonville and Stepsister Jennifer (Brittany) Martin of Clarksville.

In the last few years, Jennifer was curator of MAIV Designs, an online company that featured her daughter’s amazing art, of which she was so proud.

There will be a Time of Remembrance at Hermitage Church of the Nazarene where Jack and Emma love the “little kids” and assist the Pastor of Children’s Ministries on Sunday, January 8, 2023, 2:00pm, at the church, 4151 Saundersville Road, Old Hickory, TN. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jenifer's memory to "Youth Ministries" at Hermitage Church of the Nazarene.
