Jerry Leon Fraley Jr., age 63, passed from this world to the next on July 10, 2026—suddenly, unexpectedly, and much too soon. Born March 14, 1963, in Sikeston, MO, he moved with his family to Nashville, TN at the age of 7, where so much of his life would unfold in steady, meaningful chapters.
A proud graduate of DuPont High School, Class of 1981, Jerry went on to attend Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, TN, earning a bachelor’s degree in Recording Industry Management. Through the years, his hard work and devotion showed in the way he built his life—quietly, faithfully, and with a thoughtful care for the people around him.
Jerry’s interests carried both wonder and joy. He was a member of the Magic Club, and he delighted in the simple, generous act of making others laugh. He also collected all things BATMAN, especially BATMAN comic books—an enduring passion that reflected a playful spirit and a loyal affection for the stories that stayed with him.
Above all, Jerry was a beloved and cherished husband, father, brother, and friend. He shared 30 years of marriage with his loving wife, Jennifer Fraley, and he was best friends with his son, Jordan Fraley. Together, Jerry and Jordan spent countless hours side by side—drawn to anything related to HARLEY DAVIDSON, building and riding skateboards, spending time at the gun range, and collecting cowboy boots. In those shared pursuits lived the truest kind of closeness: devoted presence, easy humor, and the kind-hearted bond of a father who never stopped showing up.
A man of faith and a deeply patriotic soul, Jerry carried himself with a steady, faithful strength. He was also an honorary big brother to his wife’s little sister, Elizabeth Thompson—especially when she began dating, and boys would come to call—offering watchful care with a protective warmth that was as thoughtful as it was unmistakable.
Jerry is preceded in death by his father, Jerry Leon Fraley, Sr.; his mother, Patsy Lucille (Edwards) Fraley; his sister, Karen Fraley; and his aunt and uncle, Margaret & A.J. Nelson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Jennifer Fraley; his son, Jordan Fraley; his brother, Patrick Fraley (Penny); his sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Thompson and Melissa Crunk; his nephews, Blake Fraley and Drew Fraley; his niece, Catherine Beisel; his great-nephew, Sebastian James Beisel; and his canine companion, "Aleera".
Though his time here feels far too brief, the legacy Jerry leaves is not measured in years, but in the devotion he gave, the generosity he lived, the laughter he sparked, and the faithful love he offered—again and again—to those who were fortunate enough to be part of his life.
There will be a Gathering of Family & Friends at Hermitage Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 15, from 5:00 PM - 8:00 pm, and on Thursday, July 16, from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM.
