Born on October 21, 1972, in Nashville, Tennessee, Davy lived life on his own terms. A true free spirit, he found joy in the simple things and was most at home in the outdoors. He had a unique outlook on life, and an independent soul.
Davy embraced a path that was often different from others, yet he remained authentic to himself throughout his life. He appreciated nature, open skies, and the freedom that came with living life his own way. Though his journey was not always easy, he carried a spirit of resilience and individuality that will be remembered by those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his mother Bonnie Kelsey Hoffman, sister Sandy Benoit, niece Rose Benoit, nephews Luke and Jacob Benoit, stepfather Ed Hoffman, Nana Carol Slate, Aunt Patsy Matthews, uncles Bill, Randy, Johnny (Sherri), and Roger (Carolyn) Kelsey, father Jim Kelsey and many, many beloved cousins.
A Memorial Gathering to celebrate Davy's life will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
