TANKSLEY, John R. "Jack" Age 82 of Hendersonville, March 23, 2011. Preceded in death by his father, Hadley C. Tanksley; mother, Ethel Beal Tanksley; brother, Hadley C. Tanksley, Jr.; sister, Margarett Jarrett; son-in-law, Ernie Wilson. Survived by his wife of 25 years, Glenda Tanksley; daughter, Judy Wilson; son, John R. (Liz) Tanksley Jr.: grandchildren, Andy Wilson, Adam (Tiffany) Wilson, Elisa Tanksley; great grand-daughter, Bryanna Wilson. Mr. Tanksley was a graduate of Browns Prep. School. He retired from Bell South after 41 years of service. Mr. Tanksley was a member of Cumberland-Old Hickory Yacht Club. He enjoyed his hobbies, boating, skiing, ham operator, fishing and hunting. Funeral service to be conducted 3 p.m. Saturday March 26, 2011 in Hermitage Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Ron Lowry of City Road United Methodist Church officiating. Interment to follow in Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Serving as Active Pallbearers will be Dan Holder, Daryl Johnston, Buddy Shaffer, Johnny Brackeen, Joe Haley, William Fergurson, Tommy Spurlark and Larry Wagner. Honorary Pallbearers will be nephews.
