I always looked forward to seeing Johnny at Hardee's in Crossville TN. He called me Dolly Parton and autographed a coffee cup for me (that I still have), it means a lot to me. Always joking around and laughing! I will never forget you Johnny, RIP

I first met my future father-in-law in September, 2006 at a service station when his son Darrell and I were traveling from Tennessee to Idaho. The second time was at our wedding in March of 2007.  He enchanted my entire family with his stories about Elvis Presley and the country singers he knew so well. He played guitar for our wedding and told me I wouldn’t have any trouble with my new husband. My parents were deceased and it meant the world to me that they considered me as their daughter. He was so lighthearted and joyful a fun guy to be around. I loved him and will miss him forever.

Johnny Moore was a fine man who I met down in Louisiana at the Louisiana Hayride for the first time in 2002 during one of the Hayride Reunion Shows. He was a fine country artist that had recorded several fine recordings and had been on the Hayride, but no one was there to place him on the show. He asked me if I knew someone that could be asked about putting him on the show, and the show was getting into its last hour. I ran into the stage manager for the show who was seeking other folks who had not yet been on the Hayride, so I brought Johnny to him and asked him if h could put him on the show. He did not hesitate and placed him on the show - and he performed that evening. It's a time  I won't forget as that was my first and only time I had come to Shreveport to be at the show, and I was happy to have made some friends there that night, including Johnny Moore. I ran into him a few times since and I was always glad to see him. Such a very fine man! My deepest condolences to the family.

So very sorry to hear of the passing of Johnny Moore.  My husband, Angelo DeBona played with Johnny  a few times and was so honored to do so.  Always enjoyed his singing and guitar playing.

Mrs. Moore, Diane and Lynn and family.  I literally accidentally saw your sweet dad's obituary tonight. I immediately knew there had to be only one Johnny Moore by the photo and description.  While it may have been many years since we were all at Two Rivers Baptist Church the love and memories of your family are as treasured today as the friendship was all those years ago.  The fact that his obituary was on a site many counties away from Davidson is a testimony to the influence he had on the country music industry, The photos reflect on a life well lived, and a family that he cherished.  I know he heard those words we all long to hear, "Well done thy good and faithful servant, Enter into the joy of the Lord".  I know you will all be comforted by knowing that tomorrow when you say your earthly farewell to Johnny, the heavenly hello will be joyous.

My deepest sympathy to Johnny's family. Many memories i have as a youngster as my parents were Rufus and Theresa Parks (Anson, Tx). In fact i still have cassette tapes of Johnny's  that my Mom gave to me autographed by Johnny to my Mom. OUR world has been blessed by Johnny Moore. (I'm  still friends with his nephew Kenny Moore).
