Judy Boyd Corbitt, 79, passed away into peace on September 13, 2026. Born on November 4, 1946, Judy was born and raised in Old Hickory, TN, and graduated from DuPont High School. In time, she made her home in Cedar Hill, Tennessee, carrying with her a steady devotion to the people she loved and the places that shaped her.
Family was always number one in Judy’s life. She loved well, was well-loved, and will be greatly missed—her legacy carried forward in the tenderness she gave, the steadiness she modeled, and the devotion that never wavered.
Judy was preceded in death by her father, J. B. Boyd; her mother, Helen Saylors Boyd; and her loving husband, Robert J. Corbitt. She is survived by her son, Timothy Bullington (Jennifer); her grandchildren, Grace Burchett (William Strickland), Turner Burchett, and Marisa Bullington; and her great-grandson, Thomas Strickland.
There will be a Gathering of Family & Friends at Hermitage Funeral Home on Thursday, September 17, 2026, from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM. A Celebration of Judy’s Life will follow at 1:00 PM in the Tulip Grove Chapel at the funeral home. Dr. Jud Hays will officiate and William Strickland, Turner Burchett, Chuck Shockley and Scott Burchett will serve as Pallbearers. Following the service, Judy will be laid to rest in the Garden of Everlasting Life at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
