Julie was the youngest daughter of Annette and the baby sister of Deborah; she was the proudest and most protective Aunty to her nieces; Brittany and Jenna. Julie also leaves behind a broken and lost, yet adoring husband, Mick.
Although born from British blood, Julie was a California girl through & through - not the beachy & sand fleas type but more so the poolside lounger with valet service type. She spent many years in Silicon Valley Tech. and always overachieved in everything she pursued - so many awards (boxes & boxes)
Julie had many loves in her life, but her passion was reading, she absolutely loved books; all books, any books. One of her favorite things was sniffing the pages of new books, because of that addiction she also leaves behind many, many books (boxes & boxes)
Her biggest regret was not having children of her own, but her loving nieces helped to fill that hole in her heart along with her dogs and later even cats - they were absolutely her children.
Julie truly was one of those people that would light up a room with her smile and the most beautiful eyes that could mesmerize. If your head wasn’t turned by her beauty, it would certainly be turned by her laugh – not just a ha, ha but more of a HA!!
She was known for her lack of patience, not holding back her opinion and telling it like it is - mostly unfiltered. A person always knew exactly where they stood with her, and Julie always had a way to make a person feel better. Her hugs were as warm as roasted marshmallows on Christmas Eve (one of her most loved traditions by the way)
Julie was definitely prone to forget big things, but she always, always, always remembered the little things - the important things!
Julie loved making memories, and then storing those memories and mementos (more boxes & boxes). She still has the Teddy Bear Christmas present given to her by a shy and insecure teenage boy (Mick) from over 40 years ago.
Julie loved to laugh, that's when she was most alive. She loved Spring Days, sleeping late and slow dancing in the kitchen. She loved spending Fajita Sundays just watching football and cussing out the players who messed up, (probably leftover from her Cheerleader days)
Julie had the kindest soul, the spirit of a Warrior, the courage of a Lioness and the heart of an Angel.
Julie fought so hard for life for so long that her earthly body just couldn't keep up with her determination. She passed peacefully with loved ones by her side. Her light will be forever missed in this world but will forever be bright in that Grand Library/Dog park/Poolside Cabana in Heaven.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.HermitageFH.com for the King family.
