Karen Elaine Ridings, 57 of Old Hickory, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2026. She will be remembered as a loving daughter, sister and niece. She had a sweet, sensitive spirit and always wore her smile. Her cousin describes her as “the best of us”.
Karen is survived by her mother, Julia Ann Ridings; her sister, Ginger (Philip) Johnson; her nieces and nephews Hope, Julia, Aaron and William; her aunts Sherry (Charles) McGee, Vicky Forsythe, and Bobbye Phillips; many cousins, a large extended family and her special friend and caregiver, Kateisha Cartwright, and family. She is preceded death by her father, William Ridings.
There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends on Monday, July 13, 2026, from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM at the Hermitage Funeral Home. A Celebration of Karen's Life will begin at 2:00 PM in the Tulip Grove Chapel at the funeral home.
Following the service, Karen will be laid to rest in the Garden of Gethsemane at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
