LANE, Katherine S. age 89 of Hermitage, June 1, 2010. Preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Lane. Survived by daughters, Kathy (James) Whittington of Tunica, MS, Vicki Lane (Mark) Dessauer of Evansville, IN; grandchildren, Kirtley Whittington, Reynolds Whittington; sister, Frances Heard; several nieces and nephews and many dear and caring friends. Mrs. Lane was a noted educator and guidance counselor for many years and mentored many students in Metro School System. She was a faithful member of Old Hickory Church of Christ where she taught Bible classes for many years. Funeral service to be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday June 4, 2010 in Hermitage Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Don Loftis officiating. Interment to follow in Hermitage Memorial Gardens, family and friends to serve as Pallbearers. Visitation with the family will be Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and 1 hour prior to the service on Friday.
