Kay met and married Dexter Doyle. Together they had two boys, James and John Doyle. She later purchased her own house and met and married Dale Eitneier whom she remained married to for 23 years until his passing in 2001. Dale introduced Kay and her boys to the Lord and the whole family became Christians in 1977. In 1978 Luke Eitneier, the 3rd son of Kay was born.
Kay’s professional life was full also. Having worked for ATT/Bell for 25 years in Miami and Nashville, where she developed a good repore with her coworkers. She was only retired 2 months when she took on her second act of working for Nashville Transit Authority.
Kay had many circle of friends. She had NTA, BellSouth, Zoo and Church friends. She was active in helping children with Angle tree, the various children’s ministries at the various churches she attended. She knew about everyone in Nashville. Kay was a very giving person to her family and friends and will be missed by all.
Kay was precede in death by her husband of 23 years, Dale Eitneier, a son, John Doyle, her parents Harry and Lucille Bazemore and a sister Joy Nicolau
Kay is survived by her sons; Luke Eitneier and James Doyle, a brother Bob Bazemore, grandson; Walter Eitneier, Tolen Eitneier, Joshua Doyle and Zachary Smith , 1 great granddaughter Eleanor Jones and her niece Charmaine Nicolau and her great niece, Jasmine Nicolau.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday March 8, 2024 at the Hermitage Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens from 10:00am until time of service at 12:00pm. The celebration of life service will begin at 12:00pm with Pastor Rob Simms officiating. Interment to follow in the Garden of Peace, Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
