Kevin grew up in Ceres, California. From his earliest age, he had a love for life and for anything that would help people. He served a short time in the armed forces when he enlisted in the United States Navy. He felt his greatest accomplishment, while working as a paramedic, was performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on a ninety-year-old gentleman until he was transported to the hospital, thus saving his life. Kevin never met a stranger and brightened any room he entered. He developed a passion for catering and hospitality – anything that served people. He became very creative and artistic with his creations and eventually found himself the backstage caterer for many in the entertainment industry, a position he very much adored.
Kevin always put his family first. He especially loved the family vacations when the entire family would take off on a trip together or embark on a cruise. Kevin loved well . . . was well loved . . . and will be greatly missed.
Kevin is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Melvern and Josephine Easley; his maternal grandparents, William and Pauline Evans; and a nephew, William Brian Strack. He is survived by his husband (together for nine years), Joshua “Josh” Dimitri Souza-Easley; father, Melvin A. Easley; mother, Deborah F. (Evans) Easley; brothers Michael Easley (Donna) and Ronald Easley (Sherrie); and sister, Melissa Montini (Christopher). Kevin also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and multiple friends.
There will be a Gathering of Family & Friends at Hermitage Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 25, from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM and on Thursday, June 26, at St. Stephen’s Catholic Community (14544 Lebanon Road, Mount Juliet) 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM, with the Celebration of Life beginning at 3:00 PM.
