Kiranjeet Kaur Tiwana McMurtry, age 41, of Hermitage, Tenn. passed on Jan. 28, 2014 in Nashville. Born on March 25, 1972 in Kharar, India. She is survived by her son, Joshua Colton McMurtry; father, Kuldip Singh Tiwana; mother, Kuldip Kaur Tiwana; sister, Navjeet Allen; brother, Amrik Tiwana; fiancé Robert McBride; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and other loved ones.
Memorial services are set for 10 a.m. Sunday Feb. 2 at Hermitage Memorial Gardens on 535 Shute Lane. Family visitation precedes at 9 a.m. Cremation services are set for 1 p.m. at Woodlawn Funeral located at 660 Thompson Lane.
A graduate of McGavock Comprehensive High School and Nashville State Community College, she spent many years as an occupational therapist in Nashville, Milan, Tenn. and McAllen, Texas.
She is remembered for her generous spirit, kindheartedness, magnetic personality and contagious laughter. Help and support overflowed from her to both loved ones and acquaintances.
