I had the priviledge of meeting Larry at Donelson Hospital, I had just started Medical Assoc. Supply he was always very pleasant and a great person too show products too , he will be missed by many people he touched

I remember the first time I met Lawrence. He explained to me how he started his career in Respiratory Therapy many years ago at Vanderbilt Hospital, and now he wanted to come back and finish his career with us.  This was the first time I met Lawrence and I immediately could see he was a very special man and I was honored by his request.  
The last communication I had with Larry was a request to go to Berlin and he would be away in the Fall for several weeks. I thought to myself what an exciting once in a life time experience this will be for Lawrence. I will truly miss the man that had one of the most unique reasons for wanting to come and practice respiratory care with us. The entire Respiratory Care Dept and many other Vanderbilt colleagues  will miss him very much.

I worked with Larry a few times at Summit.  Though I did not know him well, I know he was a well respected therapist.  My prayer is for God to bring peace to your hearts and comfort for your loss.

Larry hired me fresh out of Respiratory school when he was respiratory Care Director at Summit Hospital.  We worked together for years. We also worked together at Vandy and was dedicated to the SICU at the same time. I'll never forget some of the talks that we had when we rode to work together and some of the mornings when we would laugh until we almost cried on our way home. He was a very caring and intelligent person, and also very benevolent with a good sense of humor, and a man of faith. He will definitely be missed by those of us who worked with him. My prayers are with the family in this time of great loss.

Larry was such an excellent person.  We always felt safe when he was here because he was always so involved with the patients care. Not only will he missed by his family but he will truly be missed by the Summit family.  My prayers are with you during this difficult time.  So sorry for your loss. SMC.

Larry was very beloved by both his Summit peers and his patients.  I very well remember a frequent patient who always hoped that Larry was going to be their therapist each night.  It was typically one of the first questions that person asked, "Is Larry working tonight?  I sure hope so!"  He will be missed.  My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I have known Lawrence (Larry) for many years. We have gone to the same church over the years as well as working at Summit together.  He always had a kind word and an infectious smile.  He took care of my father when he was in SICU at Vanderbilt and was very helpful in taking his time to explain and answer questions about my Dad's condition.  Larry will truly be missed.

I am so sorry for your loss. I have known Larry for 16 years. His sudden passing reminds me that we should love unconditionally, work hard, play fair, celebrate family and friends, give thanks for our blessings ALL YEAR LONG and have a happy day every day. I saw him almost every day as I was coming to work in the morning and he was leaving. I would say Hey Larry and he would say Hey Judy. I will miss the morning hello........As I know you will miss him dearly

I knew Lawrence from the '70s and worked directly with him at Summit for the last five years.  As a father, I know how much it meant to him to see all his daughters graduate from college and saw the beam on his face at TTU as the last crossed the stage. I know he had one more marathon to run, in Berlin, which somehow, I think he will make. My sincerest condolences to all his family and friends.

I worked with Larry at Vanderbilt Medical Center and am devastated by the loss of such a kind and wonderful man. Larry always had a smile and for us all. His gentle nature brought peace into any room and calmness to his patients. I will miss him greatly and am so happy to have had my life touched by being able to call him my friend. I enjoyed getting to know Larry, both as a valued respiratory therapist who often provided sage input into our mutual ER patients; and sharing his running tips as we shared that in common too.   Boston '07 - impressive feat!   I am fortunate to have known him.

Larry will deeply be missed by all of his co-workers. Our shift will never be the same without him. The Gammon family is in our thoughts and prayers.

I met Larry when he came to Vanderbilt and oriented him to the MICU there.  He was a quick study and was calm through yet another "rough" night there.  When I was in charge, he always took his assignment with out complaints and did everything he needed to do.  He will be missed by many, especially I know by his Vanderbilt Family.  My condolences to the Gammon Family.

A man of character, whose love and devotion was reflected by the care he gave his patients, and by the tenderness and compassion he showed to everyone he came in contact with. Larry was one of the nicest people I've ever worked with. I never heard a negative word leave his lips. He was one in a million and he will truly be missed by his coworkers as well as the patients whose lives he touched.

I've known Larry going back to '82 in the Donelson Hospital days. Larry always took good care of our emergency department patients.  I knew him to be a kind and thoughtful man.  He will, indeed, be missed.
