Born to Italian immigrant parents, she carried her heritage proudly throughout her life and remained deeply connected to both family and tradition. She traveled to Italy many times over the years to visit loved ones and treasured those connections and memories dearly.
She was known by family and friends as someone who never met a stranger. Warm, outgoing, and endlessly conversational, she had a gift for making people feel welcome and remembered. To many, she was a trusted source of advice, wisdom, and common sense—always ready with an opinion and, more often than not, the right one!
She will be remembered for her faith, strong spirit, deep love for family, and the lasting impression she left on everyone fortunate enough to know her. She showed her love to friends and family through her love of cooking. The pasta, the sauce, the ravioli, the polenta, and the grostoli will never be matched.
Lillian is preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Rosina Pizzato; her brother, Vanni Pizzato; and her beloved husband of 66 years, Richard T. Corazza.
She is survived by her children, Vicki Manson (Marvin), Rick Corazza (Greta), Chuck Corazza, and Lisa Brown (Steve); her grandchildren, Michelle Jenkins (Todd), Melissa Morales (John), Ricky Corazza (Art), Lily Seay (Jordan), Stephanie West (Justin), and Matthew Brown (Kamryn); and her three great-grandchildren, Luke West, Aubrey West, and Trey West. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family is forever grateful to Stephanie West, Judy Eads, and Lisa Staley for the dedication, love, and tireless care they provided. Their kindness, compassion, and unwavering support brought comfort to Lillian and peace of mind to those who loved her.
The family would also like to thank the entire staff and volunteers of Alive Hospice. The abundance of love, care, and compassion shown to our mother will remain forever in our hearts. Their guidance, support, and commitment to her comfort and dignity were a true blessing to our family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Lillian’s honor to Alive Hospice, 1710 Patterson Street, Nashville, TN 37203.
