Lisa Diane (Keller) Hadley (Keller), age 71, of Old Hickory, Tennessee, passed away on May 30, 2026. She was born on November 21, 1954, in Greencastle, Indiana, to Ancel Leon Keller and the late Dorothy Jean Keller. Lisa married her high school sweetheart, Eric Alan Hadley, on April 24, 1976, and together they recently celebrated 50 years of marriage.
Lisa is survived by her husband, Eric Hadley; her children, Brandon Hadley (Miriam Hadley) and their son Bozeman Hadley, and Laura Nesta (Jonathan Nesta) and their former foster children Avery and Aaliyah Troup. She is also survived by her father, Ancel Keller; her siblings, David Keller, John Keller, and Rhonda McQueen; and many extended family members and friends who loved her deeply. She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Jean Keller.
Lisa had fond memories of her Indiana upbringing. She and Eric moved to Cynthiana, Kentucky in 1987, where they raised their family. Lisa and Eric eventually moved to Old Hickory, Tennessee, where they have lived for the past five years. Lisa was deeply grateful to be near her children in Nashville and to help care for her grandson whenever she had the chance. Despite the distance, she maintained a close relationship with her Indiana family, including her 98-year-old father whom she loved dearly.
Lisa’s career included work as a Key Punch Operator for Public Service in Plainfield, Indiana, a Teacher’s Aide at Westside Elementary School in Cynthiana, Kentucky, and Office Manager for the family business, Aurora Information Systems in Cynthiana, Kentucky. She retired in 2019. Above all, she was happiest in life being a mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family, traveling, and enjoying the simple rhythms of life. She never let a loved one leave without multiple hugs and “I love you’s.”
Lisa’s life was marked by generosity and quiet acts of love. She had a remarkable gift for creating things from nothing. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, crafting homemade gifts, cooking, and baking. She even made treats from scratch for her granddogs, and her homemade noodles and lemon meringue pie were family favorites.
Lisa was known for her grace, patience, and her willingness to listen. She would talk with anyone who needed encouragement or a listening ear. She quietly and faithfully encouraged people throughout her life, usually without recognition or attention. Lisa will be remembered for her kindness, gentleness, humility, sacrificial love, and joyful spirit.
She was a woman of deep faith who loved Jesus and sought to honor Him with her life. Her desire was for others to know Christ and experience His love. She had a beautiful alto voice and spent much of her life singing in church and worshiping her Creator.
Lisa’s legacy will continue through the love she poured into everyone she came in contact with and the countless meaningful moments she shared with others. Most of all, she will be remembered for her faith in Jesus and her sacrificial love for the people around her.
Bible verses that were especially meaningful to Lisa’s faith (she had these handwritten and posted on her bathroom mirror):
Psalm 34:19 – “The righteous may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all.”
Isaiah 43:18–19 – “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing. I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”
Ephesians 3:20–21 – “To Him who is able to do far more than we ask, think, or imagine, to Him be all the glory, honor, and praise.”
Isaiah 40:28–29 – “Yahweh is the one and only everlasting God, the Creator of all you can see and imagine. He never gets weary or worn out. He empowers the feeble and increases the powerless with increasing faith.”
