She was born in McMinnville, Tennessee, to the late Charlie Crim and Bobbie Barrett Crim. Mrs. Young was a longtime member of Una Church of Christ, and loved her God, family, and everyone she met. Her greatest joy in life was homemaking by cooking and sewing. She enjoyed flower gardening, Betty Boop, being a “Granny,” and working with the children in the Inner City Ministry.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Young is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Willie Young; son, Allen Young; sister, Nellie Romans; brothers, Charles Edward Crim and George Crim; infant brother, Fate Crim.
She is survived by her son, Paul (Vickie) Young; daughters, Gail (Greg) Lee and Diane (Peter) Prosser; grandchildren, Jason Young, Adam (Sarah) Young, Daniel (Maggie) Lee, Amanda (Gary) Dooley and Noah Prosser; great grandchildren, Dennis Lee, Riley Dooley, Kieron Dooley, and Olivia Young; sister, Maurine Simpson, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at Hermitage Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and also on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 from 9:00 am until 10:00 am.
The Celebration of Life Service will be at Hermitage Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at 10:00 am with Bro. Todd Elliott officiating.
Interment will follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
