Martha B Kirkpatrick

Martha Bybee Kirkpatrick, age 94 , of Old Hickory, Tennessee passed away on Monday, January 1, 2024. Martha was born Dec 9, 1929, in Gainesboro, Tennessee to Walter B Bybee and Kizziah Kirkpatrick Bybee who predecease her. She is predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Domer Kirkpatrick, by her brothers and sisters, Homer (Gladys) Bybee, Odell (Doris) Bybee, Frances (Hampton) VanHooser, Modean (Harley) Lawson, Joe Bybee and Lucy (Harold) Long, and by her sister-in-law, Ann Bybee.

Martha is survived by her daughter Michele (Gary) Ealey, grandchildren Lynn Ealey, Meagan (fiancé Clay Batchelor) Ealey and by her great grandchildren, Ellyn Ealey and Luke Batchelor, by her brothers and sisters, Ruth Ann Bybee, Jim Bybee, John (Verone) Bybee and sister in law Wanda Bybee along with numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Martha was born in Gainesboro, TN and graduated from Jackson County High School. She married, they moved to Old Hickory where they were members of Old Hickory Church of Christ since the 1950’s.

She was an exceptional cook, seamstress, homemaker, and a woman of many talents. Martha was employed at Stamps Drug Store in Old Hickory Village for 18 years. She enjoyed her work and greeted everyone with a smile.

A visitation for Martha will be held Thursday, January 4, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Hermitage Funeral Home, followed by a celebration of life at 2:00 PM with Bro Don Loftis officiating. Interment to follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
