Martha (Marty) L. Taylor

She is survived by her husband of 23 years, David Taylor; daughters, Tressa Armstrong (David) Merlin, Jamie Armstrong Shirah and Martina Armstrong Marshall; sister, Donna (Jerry) Boswell; grandsons, Brian Merlin, Noah Merlin, Ryan Marshall, Tyler Marshall, Alex Marshall and Evan Shirah; granddaughter, Britney McCaddin; great-grandchildren, Skye Marshall, Brayden Merlin and Victoria Merlin; nephew, Zach Clifford; sisters-in-law, Emily (John) Wiser, Margaret (Frank) Neal and Annette (Gary) Dunham.

Martha was born in Lebanon, TN. She was a member of Lakewood Baptist Church and had worked as a nurse at the Nashville VA Hospital. She was greatly loved by her family and friends and was “Momma” and “Nana” to many.

A Celebration of Life will be 10:00 am Monday, June 26, 2017 at Hermitage Funeral Home, 535 Shute Lane, Old Hickory, TN with Pastor Keith Cameron officiating. Entombment will follow in Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Noah Merlin, Ryan Marshall, Tyler Marshall, Alex Marshall, Evan Shirah and Jerry Boswell.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm Sunday, June 25, 2017 and from 9:00 am – 10:00 am on Monday.
