Martha Ellen McClain, Age 77, passed away Sunday, Sept. 25, 2016. Preceded in death by her husband, John William McClain. Survived by her sons, Bill McClain, Todd (Ken Searcy) Maurer and Randy (Chip Living) Maurer; daughters, Linda (Keith) Steele and Barbara Green; sister, Mary Ann Garrett; grandchildren, Billy, Bobby, Brian, Leigh Ann, J.R. and Trish; 7 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. McClain was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Old Hickory and was a retired Medical Transcriptionist. She was an avid Barbie and Kelly doll collector. A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted 2 pm Wednesday, September 28, 2016 in Hermitage Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gordon Hawkins officiating. Visitation with the family 11 am – 2 pm Wednesday, prior to the service. Entombment will follow in Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
