She was born and raised in Grundy County, TN and graduated from Grundy County Highschool class of 1958. Mary retired from Old Hickory Credit Union after 30 years of service. She will be remembered for her love and care of others especially her family.
Mary is preceded in death by her son George “Eddie” Bearup; parents George and Cynthia Thomas; brother Clifford Thomas; Herman Thomas, Gladys Hargis, Willie M. Carter and sister-in-law Julie Thomas.
She is survived by her brother Myles Thomas; nephews Larry (Patsy) Hargis, Ralph (Donna) Hargis, Dale (Tina) Hargis, Paul (Jennifer) Hargis, Carol Gore; and multiple great nieces and nephews.
Gathering of family and friends Saturday May 2, 2026 from 10:00am-12:00noon at Hermitage Funeral Home. Celebration of Life will begin at 12:00 noon in the Tulip Grove Room also at Hermitage Funeral Home. Burial following Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
