She worked as an administrative assistant at the Davidson County Court House for 24 years. In her spare time she enjoyed reading. Mrs. McMurtry will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her children Kimberly White; three grandchildren, Jamie (Bradley) Scott, Aimee (Greg) Elmore and Drew (Teresa) Bentley; great grandchildren Jordan, Hailey, Lukus, and Bentley Scott, Alexa Grass and Dylan Grass.
Mrs. McMurtry is preceded in death by her husband John Lee McMurtry.
Gathering of Family and Friends Thursday December 19, 2019 from 4:00-8:00pm at Hermitage Funeral Home and Friday December 20th from 12:00-2:00pm. Celebration of Life will begin at 2:00pm in the Chapel at Hermitage Funeral Home. Burial following Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
