Melba Jean Burnley

BURNLEY, Melba Jean, age 84 of Hermitage, passed away Monday, October 11, 2010. Preceded by her son, Jeffrey Lynn Burnley. Survived by her husband, Thomas J. Burnley; son, Dale Burnley; daughters, Janine (Eddie) Breeden and Christina (Larry) Williams; son, Jeff (Amber) Marlin; grandchildren, T.J. Burnley, Hannah and Kayla Rutherford, Keith, Peyton and Samantha Williams, Jared, Jaxon and Anslee Marlin and Allison Breeden; 3 great grandchildren. Mrs. Burnley was a graduate of East High School and was retired from Genesco with 44 years of service. She was a member of the SonShine Sunday School Class at Hermitage Hills Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 13, 2010 in Hermitage Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Keith Smyser officiating. Visitation with the family 3:00– 7:00 p.m. Tuesday and 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Wednesday. A committal service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday in Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery. 5 grandchildren and son Jeff will serve as pallbearers.
