

Mike is survived by his wife Linda B. Borum, his son, Jonah C. Borum, his daughter Molly C. Berry and his granddaughter, Ella C. Berry. He also is survived by his younger brother, Neil A. Borum.
Mike was a photo professional for over 50 years. In 1970, after receiving a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where he served as Chief Photographer for the yearbook and daily campus newspaper, he moved to Nashville and opened his first studio. Specializing in advertising and corporate photography, his clients included many national and international clients as well as over 300 album/CD covers.
In 1980, Mike opened Chromatics PhotoImaging to serve Nashville's creative community and was General Manager for over 40 years. It continues to operate today.
In addition, Mike was founding President of the Tennessee Chapter of the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP) in 1985 and served on the Board for eight years. He was a member of the Media Photographers Copyright Association, the Photo Marketing Association (PMA), the Association of Professional Color Labs (APCL) and the Association of Photo CD Imagers (APCDI).
Beyond his professional career, Mike was an avid sailor, talented musician and car enthusiast. He enjoyed immensely trips to the Virgin Islands, listening to trombone music and driving, talking about and researching Mercedes.
Mike was a loving and caring husband and father. He will be remembered by friends and family for his patience, kindness and attention to detail.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Hermitage Funeral Home, 535 Shute Lane, Old Hickory, Tennessee.
