Michelle worked devotedly for the Wilson County school system for over 20 years, beginning at Wilson Central High School before finishing her career at W.A. Wright and Rutland elementary schools. She was active in the Kids Club aftercare program where she showed her love and caring for the children in the community. Michelle was an advocate for Autism Awareness and fought fiercely for the community, which held a special place in her heart. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend to so many. She touched so many lives in such a positive way, whether you knew her or not, bringing much kindness, joy and love to all she met. Michelle was very strong in her love for the Lord and lived her life in dedication to him. Michelle enjoyed many hobbies; crafting, reading, coloring and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. They were her greatest pride and joy.
Michelle was preceded in death by her parents Matthew Seckinger, Sr. and Shirley Seckinger, a brother Mitchell Seckinger, a niece Anna Seckinger and her husband of 27 years, Ronnie Ray.
She is survived by her daughter Jaime (Caleb) Smith, grandchildren Harrison Smith and Kennedy Smith, a sister Melissa Seckinger, brothers, Matthew (Bambi) Seckinger, Jr., Michael Seckinger, niece, Nicole Seckinger, nephew, Ryan Seckinger, sister-in-law Brandi (Don) Kappel and many cousins and extended family in California.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday January 8, 2025 from 4:00 – 7:00pm and again Thursday from 1:00 -2:00Pm at the Hermitage Funeral Home, 535 Shute Lane, Old Hickory, TN where services will be held Thursday January 9, 2025 at 2:00Pm. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories, Hermitage memorial Gardens.
