Miguel Angel Villar

On Saturday July 18, 2020, Miguel Villar, a devoted husband and loving father, passed away at the age of 83 years old. He was born on October 1, 1936 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and became a US citizen in 1972.

Miguel was employed by United Furniture Workers Insurance in Nashville, Tennessee. After 19 years of service, he retired in 1998. Fondly called “Papi” by family and friends, he was known as the best handyman ever. Papi’s many talents included auto repair, construction, electrician, landscaping, and gardening. He was even skilled in sewing.

Papi will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 52 years, Nilda; their daughters Michele (Jeff) Jones and Ingrid (CJ) Woods; grandchildren: Bailey Jones, Braden Jones, Peyton Woods, and Gabrielle Woods. He will also be remembered by his nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.
