My condolences to all Mac’s family. I just last saw him at my grandfather L.C. Knies’s funeral. My first memories of Mac are going to the auto parts store in Old Hickory with my dad and/or my grandfather, sitting on the stool, watching and waiting while the men would talk. I later remember finding Mac at Advanced Auto and at the IGA on several occasions. He always remembered who I am, and we would stop and catch up. I always felt Mac was like another grandfather to me. He was so kind and soft-spoken. Mac will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.
