Mrs. Nella Jean Langford, age 79 of Old Hickory, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2019 at her residence.

Nella Jean was born in Macon County, Tennessee, to the late James Ovelton Kemp and Rhoda Pearline Williams Kemp. She and her family moved to Nashville in the 1940s, and she was an original lifelong member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church. Nella Jean married the love of her life, Donald, and they shared 58 wonderful years together. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, crocheting, making cards, and scrapbooking. Nella Jean was a loving wife, mother, and nana, and a great friend to many.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her step-granddaughter, Jessica Hunley.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Langford; son, Stephen Langford; daughters, Beverly Langford (Joe Krebbs) and Susan Hunley (Chris); sister, Shirley Day (Harold); grandchildren, Paul Davis, Andy Davis, Erin Hudspeth, and Jordan Hunley; and four great grandchildren.

Visitation will be at Hermitage Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm.

The Celebration of Nella Jean’s Life will be at Hermitage Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at 3:00 pm with Pastor Ron Spurgeon and Pastor Barry Armour officiating.

Interment will follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
