She was born on September 21, 1925, in Gainesboro, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Arless and Lula Belle Flatt. She was a member of the Old Hickory Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Sullivan, and brother, John Flatt.
She is survived by her sisters, Polly Hance, Vera (Robert) Garrett, Juanita Flatt, Chris (Wayne) Gragg, Ora (Junior) Fox, Barbara (Floyd) Dorris and Judy (Tom) Parham; sister-in-law, Jeanette Flatt; and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and step-granddaughter, Teresa (Terry) Hodge.
The family will receive friend on Friday, August 5, 2016 from 2:00 until 8:00 pm at Hermitage Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
The Celebration of Life Service will be on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 10:00 am with Brother Don Loftis officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Old Hickory Church of Christ Day School or Alive Hospice.
