Mrs. Stephens was born in Nashville on February 18, 1947. She was a sweet and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and faithful friend. She adored her family and loved spending time with them. She had a great listening ear and a kind spirit. She was a longtime member of the Church of God of Prophecy.
She is survived by her children Tammie (Tom) Myres, Randy (Beth) Stephens, and Lisa (Jim) Adkins; grandchildren Michael Myres (Alicia Crimmons), Blake Myres, John Stephens, William Stephens, Kathryn Stephens, and Annie Stephens.
Mrs. Stephens is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Joseph Stephens; her parents Hershel and Hazel Warrick and her sister Rebecca Carey.
There will be a gathering of family and friends on Tuesday August 26, 2025 from 4:00-8:00pm at Hermitage Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, also on Wednesday August 27, 2025 from 12:00 noon until 2:00pm. Her Celebration of Life will begin at 2:00pm in the Tulip Grove Chapel at Hermitage Funeral Home and she will be laid to rest in Hermitage Memorial Gardens immediately following the service.
