Okerleen is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years William (Bill) Lee Gleaves; her Father Flournoy Pilkinton; mother Callie Mae Pilkinton; brother Ottis Pilkinton; and grandson James Lee Roberts.
Okerleen was raised in Lawrence county along with her siblings Otis Pilkinton, Clay Pilkinton, Ira Pilkinton, and Dean Pilkinton. Early in life she attended school in Summertown then later moved to Nashville, Tennessee, where she met her husband. Together they raised five children William Mark Gleaves (Kathy), Michele Elizabeth Phelps (Bill), Michael Flournoy Gleaves, Brenda Leigh Blunkall (Jim), Jenny Davis (Rick); she has seven grandsons James Lee Roberts, Dale Gleaves, James (Bubba) Blunkall, David Gleaves, Jacob Blunkall, Nicholas Gleaves, Brandon Woosley; and three granddaughters Hailey Blunkall, Dr. Jennifer Hoffmeyer, Samantha Baskette; she also has twenty-one great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
She will be remembered fondly for the love and laughs we all shared.
There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 from 4pm until 8pm and on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 from 1pm until 2pm in the Rachel Visitation Room at Hermitage Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will begin on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at 2pm in the Tulip Grove Room of the funeral home. Interment will follow immediately in the Garden of the Cross at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.

Click that link to open the page. The live-stream will begin approximately 2 - 5 minutes just prior to the actual service beginning. If the time is inconvenient, you can view the service at a later date.
