She was the matriarch to our family and will, forever, live on in our hearts. Mama, Nena, Mama Granny, and Polly, was called home to be with all of her loved ones that have gone before. To know her was to love her.
She was born to Benjamin Franklin Morris and Lennie Wilson Morris on September 1, 1926. She attended Coopertown High School and later, Nashville Business College, where she received a Basketball scholarship.
Pauline began working in Salary & Personnel at Oak Ridge around World War II. She also worked at the Telephone Company, the YMCA, and finished her career as Office Manager at Nashville Chair Company.
She was a faithful member of the Old Hickory Church of Christ for many years and volunteered often with the Church of Christ Disaster Relief Organization. Other organizations Pauline participated in included the Brandywine Women’s Club, the AARP Widowed Person Service, as well as being President of Women’s Fleet Reserve Association. Some of her hobbies included spending time with family, playing cards, Dominos and Rummikub with friends and loved ones. She loved boating and spending time on the water.
Pauline is survived by her children Deborah Baldwin Greer, Joe (Celia) Baldwin, Timothy (Carol) Baldwin, Vicki (George) Crosby, and Debra (Jimmie) Hibbs; her eleven grandchildren, and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Pauline was preceded in death by Joe W. Baldwin, husband of 49 years, and Raymond R. Vinson, husband of 19 years; twin brothers Paul Morris and B.F. Morris; sisters Louise Matthews and Kitty Morris; and parents Benjamin Franklin Morris and Lennie Wilson Morris.
The family would like to thank Charter Senior Living and Alive Hospice for all their love and support.
