Peggy spent her professional career serving her community, first working at 1st American Bank and later at Castner Knott. Outside of work, she had a vibrant passion for life's simple pleasures. She truly loved yard sales, thrifting, and shopping, always enjoying the hunt for a good find.
Peggy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mike Gaylor; her father, Noah Watkins; her mother, Martha Watkins; and her sister, Sharon Rutherford. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her brother, Bobby Watkins of Tennessee; her sister, Kimberly Hawkins of Alabama; and several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
There will be a Memorial Gathering of Family & Friends at Hermitage Funeral Home on July 14, 2026, from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM.
