I met Philip more than ten years go through a friend of his who was a fellow Aflac agent. Together we all shared many "3 hour lunches" just talking and bonding. His leaving us is really shocking because Phil had just "liked" a comment I made on my Linked account the day before this tragic accident 

I offer my condolences to his family  He was a great and humble friend to me. RIP Phil. I will miss you my friend. I pray that God will give his family peace through this grieving period.

I never really spent time with Mr. Burke, but didn't have to to know he was a great man. His children speak volumes about the man he was, in their speech and character. My prayers are with you all. May you be compassed about with His peace, comfort, and strength.

I was stunned to hear of the sudden passing of Phil on Sunday night. I am so glad our paths crossed on this earth and for the example he set while he was with us.  His memory will be cherished by so many and he will live on in each of his children and in his precious grandchildren. I am so thankful they both were able to know him and be loved by him.  My love and prayers are with each of you at this time and I pray that you will allow God to sustain you and comfort you as only He can. Phil, I so appreciated the support you and Ginny gave me as your children's teacher.  You were a wonderful model for  your children and I know you will be missed.  I know, too, that  you'll be together again one day, and you'll be waiting for them.

I was so sorry to hear of Mr. Burke's passing.  I work at Napier with Rebecca and he was a frequent visitor.  You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

My friend and fellow retired Air Guardsman , Jim Harkreader , notified me of Phil's passing. I am truly sorry to hear of his passing and your family's loss Virginia. We shared some good times raising our children. You are in my prayers for comfort in this time of grief and sadness. May the Lord Bless and Keep You, Bill, Mary Lynn and Family.

Missing and reminiscing about my "other little brother"(cousin) Phil.  How many other people are so lucky to have such a friend and lucky enough to have their own personal family IT technician?  Phil was so devoted to his family and a friend to all earth's "little critters"...he never met a snake he didn't like. Many great memories and love and comfort to Aunt Mae, Gin, Rebecca, Beth, Ed, Kaylee and Brandon.

Jerry and I were so sorry to hear about Phil. Life is never long enough for those of us left behind. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Gin and your family at this time.

My heart goes out to the Burke family. While I did not know Phil personally, I have had the pleasure of having his daughter, Becca as a friend for many years now. It was my privilege to know Mr. Phil and share many conversations with him over the past 12 years.  He was such a steady, honest, and gentle servant of the Lord. My family and I extend our condolences and prayers. I know him only from work at TDEC.  Often we'd pass each other in the hallways.  Phil always had a smile  and never hesitated to say, "Hello."

Virginia, Rebecca, and all:  Bracken and I are so sorry for your premature loss of Phil. We remember him fondly as concur with all the praises of him as husband, father, friend, son, etc.  I lost my Dad when he was 66 and I was 31.  It was hard. I have so many fond memories of the times Phil and I spent together.  From all of the good times playing ball over at "Mammy and Pappy's" when growing up, to seeing each other at reunions and parties and get-togethers at "the farmhouse".  Phil was truly a good hearted man and a devoted Father whose family meant everything to him.  He will be missed by all.

I lost my cousin, who sure felt like my little brother growing up next door to one another in Hermitage.  Phil was such a dedicated and loving husband, father and friend to those who knew him. His life was cut way to short and it's such a huge loss for his soul mate Gin, mother Edna Mae and of course the families of Rebecca, Beth and Ed.  Phil was the bedrock of the family and his legacy will live on in the precious memories that everyone who knew him  possess.

Good bye to my cousin, who sure seemed like my little brother growing up.  He was a devoted and loving son, father and friend to many.   So many images of our time together are flooding my brain.  I will miss you Phil.
