He is survived by his son, David Roeser (Kris); daughter, Connie R. Thompson (Kelly); grandchildren, Kristy Worrell (Robert), Darrell Thompson (Holly), Erik Roeser and Stephen Roeser; great-grandchildren, Cole Thompson, Hailee Worrell, Aaron Worrell and Ryan Worrell; sister, Mary Lou Graves.
Phillip was a veteran of the United States Marines Corps, serving in Korea during WWII. He was also an avid UT fan and was a referee for TSSAA.
A funeral service will be conducted 2pm Monday, May 23, 2016 at the Hermitage Funeral Home with Chaplain Monica Weber officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in the Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
Visitation with the family will be Sunday from 4pm until 8pm and 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
