Rachel Leah Bauer

Rachel is survived by her son, Michael Stewart Bauer; mother and father, Denise Harlan Thompson and Johnny Thompson; siblings Jon Thompson (Pamela Thompson), Jennifer Williams (Frank Williams), Amanda Turpin (Brian Turpin), and Matthew LaGrand (Becky LaGrand). She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather and grandmother, Hershel and Lavern Harlan; uncles Don and Bobby Harlan; and her aunt Debra LaGrand;

She is also survived by her paternal grandmother, Barbara Eaves Thompson and many aunts and uncles. She is proceeded in death by her paternal grandfather, James O. Thompson; Aunt Tammy Thompson and Vicky Thompson Cornett.

Rachel was born on March 21, 1984 in Madisonville, Kentucky. She graduated from Aquinas College in 2010 with a degree in Nursing and has enjoyed a career most currently in the PACU at Centennial Hospital. Above all else, Rachel loved being a mother to her son, Michael. She loved her family and friends and will be greatly missed by everyone.

Pastor Doug Thompson will officiate the ceremony at Hermitage Funeral Home, located at 535 Shute Lane, Old Hickory, TN 37138. The viewing will be Thursday, December 7, 2017 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and the funeral will be Friday, December 8, 2017, beginning at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to service.
