Ray Eugene Barnes, 96, of Nashville, TN passed away on Friday, April 23, 2021. He was a military veteran, having served in the United States Navy during WWII. Mr. Barnes retired from the Ford Glass Plant in 1991. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and was an avid fan of the Tennessee Vols. Mr. Barnes is preceded in death by Eleanor Holmes Barnes, his wife of 69 years. He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a Gathering of Family & Friends at Hermitage Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 from 1pm – 2pm. A Celebration of Life will begin at 2pm in the chapel. Immediately following, interment will be in the Garden of Peace at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
