

VINSON, Raymond R., age 87, passed away Friday, September 20, 2013. Preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Louise Schollie Vinson. Survived by his wife of 19 years, Pauline Baldwin Vinson; daughters, Vicki (George) Crosby, Debra (Jimmie) Hibbs and Debi (Everette) Balentine; sons, Joe (Celia) Baldwin and Tim Baldwin; grandchildren, Andrew Hibbs, Victoria Hibbs, Michelle Hiers, Shannon Crosby, Derek Crosby, Jonathan Greer, Jennifer Gritzenbach, Jessica Greer and Megan Gregory; 12 great grandchildren. Mr. Vinson was born in Cross Plains, TN to the late Joshua Columbus and Mary Alice Spurlock Vinson. He was a member of Old Hickory Church of Christ. Mr. Vinson was a retired U.S. Navy World War II and Korean War veteran with 20 years of service, a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Chaplain of the Fleet Reserve Association Chapter 110 and a lifetime member of FRA. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 25, 2013 in Hermitage Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Don Loftis and Bro. Mark Adams officiating. Interment will follow in Hermitage Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as Active and Honorary pallbearers. Visitation with the family 4 – 8 p.m. Tuesday and 10 – 11 a.m. Wednesday.
