Richard C. Cody, a resident of Hermitage, Tennessee, completed his earthly journey on November 15, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on September 1, 1948, Richard was a hard-working, honest, loyal, and resilient man who touched the lives of many.
He was the beloved husband of Linda R. Cody for 39 years. Richard was a devoted father to Stacy Bolden, Robert Milner (Leslie), and Stephanie Rodriguez (Lazaro). He was also a cherished grandfather to Brianna Bolden, William Milner, Avery Milner, Estella Rodriguez, and Emma Rodriguez, and a proud great-grandfather to Maya Bolden.
Richard is survived by his sisters, Meredith McDonald, Beth Zein, Jill Husom, and Gwen Hartman, and his brother, Doug Cody. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Eugene Cody and Jean Grace (Baird) Cody, his brother Gordon Cody, and his niece Deanna Husom.
Richard had a distinguished career driving a truck over the road for Consolidated Freightways and was a dedicated Teamster. His commitment to his work was unwavering.
A fan of the Minnesota Vikings, Gophers, and Twins, Richard loved listening to the waves on the beach in Ormand Beach, Florida. He cherished the annual family trips to Minnesota on Labor Day to be with family. A social person by nature, Richard enjoyed happy hour, where he could visit with his buddies.
Richard will be remembered for his famous words, "I don't think you know who I am. I am Rich Cody," a testament to his unique personality and presence. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
