Rick was a great person. He was a great friend and supervisor at ATT. He loved UT football. He took me to one of the games when I lived in Nashville. he will be missed. God bless you are in our thoughts and prayers.

I was so saddened to learn of Richards passing upon my return.  I remember him as a teen (plus) and was always so kind and caring.  I'll never forget.  Nicole, I do know what you're experiencing and my prayers are with you, Brenda,Berenice, and the rest of your family - for strength, courage, and love to bring you through.  May God bless all of you and send His angels to guide and comfort during these coming days.

My Condolences to the Jones family....

I also only knew Rick for a short while, but during that time I discovered that he was a very good fellow employee, a dedicated worker, but most of all a true gentleman and someone whom I felt a friend with.

He may be gone from tis earth, however his memory will live on with all who met him.

I cannot put into words how amazing grandpa was. he was one of the most amazing, strong, caring, hardworking men I have ever encountered. he introduced me to one of the most important things in my life now... music. I, along with my family were so blessed to have him in our lives, and we thank God every day for the time we were able to spend with him. I love and miss you grandpa❤

I only knew Rick for a couple months, he was a good man. I will miss him.  My heart goes out to all of his family and friends.

I am so shocked and saddened this morning to read of Rick's passing.  Like many of the friends and co-workers who have posted in the guest book, I, too, have such wonderful memories of Rick and our days at South Central Bell. Back in the late 70's and early 80's, I was an Educational Rep. working out in the schools.  Rick was one of the installers who would go with me to do programs for the elementary school children.  The children and teachers loved him and he was always so patient in explaining to the young children "how the telephone works". I miss those times so much.  Rick always spoke of you and the children with such love and respect.  May God wrap his loving arms around each of you and give you peace and sweet memories as you go through the difficult days ahead. God bless you.

We are so sorry to hear about Rick.  I wish we could pay our respects in person but unfortunately we can't.  Rick was a joy to know and work with.  Forever smiling and always willing to help with anything you ask.  His children were his pride and joy as he talked about them often.  His genuine happy face will forever be embedded in our minds. We can just see him, Scott Simms & Bill Clapper up there making BellSouth jokes right now.  Our deepest sympathy to all the family as he will surely be missed.

I met Rick as a young girl when I went to work with South Central Bell. He was always one of the gentlemen and good guys. I appreciated him all the years we worked together. We shared the love of the VOLS and I'll never forget running into him in Tempe at the National Championship game by chance. He will certainly be missed and I pray for comfort and peace for those he loved and will miss him so much.

Nobody from Algood was all good, but Richard was close. Standing Stone, Beat Bama, Men's Chorus, many shared memories. Beautiful lady and your younguns in our prayers.

Rick will always be remembered as one of my favorite fellow , South Central Bell, Bell South and (at&t) coworkers. Hearing of his passing, saddens all of us who remember having worked with Rick. He always treated everyone with respect as a coworker and as a supervisor! Back when Bell South used to (appreciate) their emplyees, by having, the Emplyee Appreciation Day (picnic) at Smiley Hollow in Ridgetop, Tn. Rick always handled the organizing. Thoughts of past times as telephone employees are only made richer by Rick's inclusion. R.I.P.

Becky,  We were so very sorry to hear of Richards passing. We obviously haven't seen or talked to you since moving 15 years ago to care for my aging parents. Such a great man and friend. Can never forget that sinister laugh. A Tennessee Vol fan and would let you know it in a second. I am heartbroken of his passing. He will be truly be missed by family and friends. He has started another journey that we all can only dream about. He has gone to heaven to prepare it for when it is our time to embark on this same journey. I know when I arrive he will be there at the gates to welcome us all. Will miss you till that time.

Today it is dark and rainy in Florida.  It only seems fitting for the news we all received this morning.  I feel so blessed to have had you as my uncle.  Growing up one of my favorite memories was your visits each summer.  You would drive all of us cousins to Clearwater Beach for the day and then stop off at McDonalds on the way home.  What a treat that was.  I don't think I will ever go to the beach again and not think of you.  God is so gracious to have allowed us to see you so recently and to have given you a final hug goodbye.  We are all thankful for the time we shared with you.  You will always be in our hearts and we will miss your warm smiles, laugh and hugs.  I love you Uncle Rich.  Go rest high on that mountain. ❤

Our hearts are broken.  We know you are with our Lord and Savior. You will be missed and are loved by so many.  So thankful for our time at the beach with you such a short time ago.  We will meet again and that is the only comfort there is.

Two weeks ago we were all at the beach having fun. We would have never guessed that  the Lord would take you home and you would leave us. We are very sad now but you see Him face to face. Hallelujah  what a Saviour!!  You are with those that have gone before us. You left way too soon but I know that you are rejoicing in His presence. We will meet you again!!!  The family circle will be unbroken!
