

Rita was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on July 14, 1956. She was a woman of remarkable strength, kindness, and devotion to those she loved. Bold, strong, sweet, and loving, Rita touched countless lives through her generous heart, unwavering spirit, and dedication to her family.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Castleman, whom she adored and shared many cherished years with. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Edna Johnson and Carolyn Seaborn; and her brothers, Billy Long and Bobby Myers; and her parents Robert and Mable Myers.
Rita leaves behind: her son, David (Katie) McCluskey; her stepdaughter, Virginia Kossa; her grandchildren, Hannah (Calogero S.) Nocera, Bethany McCluskey, Katherine McCluskey, Alexander Hull, Kaitlyn McCluskey, Kinsley McCluskey, William M. McCluskey, Chris (Samantha) Jaskulski, and Jeremiah Jaskulski; and her great-grandchildren, Jayden Jaskulski, Margaret Nocera, Calogero P. Nocera, CJ Jaskulski and Blake Jaskulski. She is also survived by her sisters, Gladys Flough and Betty (Jeff) Parker, along with numerous other relatives, dear friends, and loved ones.
Nothing brought Rita greater joy than her family. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and meant everything to her. She loved cooking meals that brought everyone together around the table, creating memories that will be treasured for generations. Rita was especially known for her talent in the kitchen, baking delicious cookies, cakes, and homemade candies that family and friends enjoyed. Christmas was her favorite time of year, and she delighted in making the holidays special for everyone she loved.
Rita also enjoyed riding motorcycles alongside her late husband, Charles. Together they shared many adventures and created treasured memories that remained close to her heart throughout her life.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 4, 2026 from 3:00pm ~ 7:00pm and Friday June 5, 2026 from 12:00pm ~ 2:00pm with a Celebration of Life at 2:00pm and the burial to follow all at Hermitage Funeral Home.
Rita's life was a beautiful example of devotion to family, friendship, and faithfulness to those she held dear.
Forever loved, forever remembered.
