Robert Isaac Izell, Sr. was born on December 12, 1959, in Nashville, Tennessee, and raised in Nolensville, Tennessee. On September 13, 2026, Robert departed this life, leaving behind a legacy of love, hard work, laughter, and cherished memories.
Robert was a loving, hard-working, and funny man who believed in putting in an honest day's work and taking care of the people he loved. He dedicated 30 years of his life to Civil Constructors, where his strong work ethic and commitment were evident throughout his career.
Outside of work Robert found happiness in the simple things in life. He enjoyed spending time on the farm raising his goats, collecting and cleaning copper, and, especially, fishing. Whether he was working around the farm, finding another piece of copper to add to his collection, or sitting near the water with a fishing pole, Robert knew how to appreciate the things that brought him joy.
Those who knew Robert will remember not only how hard he worked but also his sense of humor and the laughter he brought to those around him. One of this favorite sayings, "Sho you right, Ray-Ray," is sure to bring a smile to everyone's faces. It is one of the many little pieces of Robert that his family will carry with them forever.
Robert was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Annie Louise (Haddox) Ezell; his parents, Horace Ezell, Sr., and Margaret Sanders-Ezell; and his brother, Horace Ezell, Jr.
He leaves to cherish his memory his son, Robert Ezell, Jr. (Cheyenne); his beloved grandchildren Alice and Malcom; along with family members, friends, co-workers, and all those whose lives were touch by his kindness, humor, and unforgettable personality.
Robert's life was one built through family, hard work, laughter, and love. While his absence leaves an immeasurable space in the lives of those who loved him, the memories he created will remain. His family will remember his smile, his jokes, his days on the farm, his love of fishing, and the familiar words that could only sound quite right whent hey came from him.
Robert Isaac Ezell, Sr. will be deeply missed and forever loved. His work here is complete, but the love and memories he leaves behind will continue through his family for generations to come.
