Robert Stansbury

Robert “Bob” Stansbury was born March 7, 1938. He passed away October 14, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Stansbury and Vira Sterling. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Norma Penny “Butch” Stansbury, daughter Pamela Leake and son, Bruce Stansbury (Laura Stansbury) Grandchildren, Noah Stansbury, Claire Leake, Megan Stansbury (Howard Stricklin) and Clarence Leake (Harley Leake).

Bob proudly enlisted as a Untied States Marine in 1957. He later served as a Baptist Sunday School teacher and Deacon prior to joining the Catholic Church in 1994. Subsequently, he was an Eucharistic Minister. He was a former Grand Knight in the Knights of Columbus. Bob was also a proud Commandant of the Marine Corps League.

Bob was a devoted family man. He was a spiritual leader, a man of deep faith, valor and great character. He was always willing to help and serve others. He was a faithful husband, a loving father, grandfather and friend who will be greatly missed.

Gathering of family and friends will be on Saturday October 18, 2025 from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon at Hermitage Funeral Home. Celebration of Life will begin at Noon in the Tulip Grove Room also at Hermitage Funeral Home.
