

Howard was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on April 11, 1929, to Robert Taylor and Sallie Vic Williamson and was a graduate of East High School. Howard joined the U.S. Army at 17 during World War II and served in the Occupation Forces in Japan. He later served as an active duty member of the U.S. Airforce National Guard. Following the war, he returned home to Nashville where he founded Howard's Honda, a motorsports dealership which he lovingly ran for 64 years. In 1957, Howard married the love of his life Claudine Davis Williamson. Howard was an avid storyteller, photographer, pilot and a member of the Flyers of Nashville for more than 50 years. Later in life, he loved riding his tractor on the farm and spending time with family and friends. Howard was a member of Hermitage United Methodist Church, the Anti-Can't Sunday School Class and the Hermitage Golf Course Men's Bible Study.
Howard was preceded in death by his father, his mother, and his brother Thurman. He is survived by his wife Claudine; his daughters Dianne (Brent) Clark and Marianne (Norman) Jordan; his grandchildren and their spouses Lauren (Austin) Kemp, Shannon (Jordan) Lalka, Brent Clark Jr., Anna (Alex) Drury, and Elizabeth (Justin) Haynes; his niece Tiffany (Patrick) Hutchinson; his great-grandchildren Dylan and Crew; and his loyal dog, (Chief).
No services will be held at this time. In lieu of flowers, the family asks all who wish to honor Howard to perform an act of kindness for a friend or stranger in his memory.
