With heavy hearts and deep love, we announce the passing of Roxanne “Roxie” Jones a devoted mother, compassionate soul, devout Christian and quiet lover of life’s simple joys, who left this world on July 6th, 2025, at the age of 73.
Roxie was the heart of her family—a constant source of warmth, wisdom, and unwavering support. Her love knew no bounds, and she gave it freely to her children, grandchildren, and all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her home was a sanctuary of comfort, filled with the soft turning of pages, the hum of laughter, and the smell of delicious food.
An enthusiastic reader, Roxie found joy and escape in the world of books. From cherished classics to the Bible, she read not just for pleasure, but with a curiosity and empathy that reflected her understanding of life and people. She held a special place in her heart for hummingbirds—symbols of joy, resilience, and the beauty in fleeting moments. Like the hummingbirds she admired, Roxie brought lightness and grace to all who crossed her path. She found peace in her faith knowing she would meet our Lord and Savior someday, and she taught us to do the same.
She is now the guardian angel of her sons: George Jr. (Laura) Jones, Mark (Tammy) Jones, Chris (Amber) Jones. She will forever remain in memory as Grandma/ Marnie to Amber Nicole, Hope (Blake) McCormack, Caleb (Addie) Jones, Haven (Austin) Payne, Emalee Jones, Julia King, Joshua Jones, Mattie (Noah) Collier, Gabriel Jones, Holly (Christian) Green, Brady Jones, Corbyn Jones and a great grandson Brayan McCormack. She was loved and will be missed by her sisters Wanda (Franky) Pirtle, Jerri McMahon, and Tammy Littlejohn as well as many nieces and nephews, who will forever carry her spirit in their hearts. Her legacy is one of love, kindness, and the gentle reminder to cherish every moment. She is preceded in death by her loving husband George A. Jones, her parents Gerald and Iris Napier, her siblings Jeanie and Jackie, and her grandson Levi Jones.
