I first heard about Mr. Sam Moore when I joined LSESD’s SKILD Center. My colleagues spoke of him with fondness and passion. Mr Moore was more than the Chairman of a partner organization. He was very much a member of the LSESD family. Though I never got to meet him in person, I constantly thanked God for Mr. Moore, and for his son Joe, who shares his dad’s passionate servant heart.
 
On behalf of SKILD community of staff and special needs children, I extend our sincere condolences to you, Joe, and to the family.

To the family of Sam Moore,

I have known and worked with your husband, father, grandfather or great grandfather for 40 years.  It was always in a business environment, but what I remember most is that I never had a conversation with him in which he did not talk about Peggy.    He was a very loving and devoted husband and we will all miss him.

 I'm Randall Salts I grew up next to Mrs Poe. Alot of memories there with the Whites and Mrs Poe. Mom lived there till 2014 when she passed away and we lost Dad in 03.  We was sorry to hear of  Mr Moore's passing your all in our thoughts and prayers during this time.

While I didn't have the pleasure of knowing Sam, I have the honor of witnessing the fruits of his dedication and compassion to serving those here in the Middle East. His initial response to crisis here in Lebanon years ago has burgeoned into an amazing ministry by God's grace. We as the MERATH team are inspired by his example and offer our sincere condolences to his family. 

We are so very sorry for your loss of your dear Sam. We look forward to the fulfillment of every detail of God’s promise in Revelation 21:4, which says: “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” Our tears will be tears of joy as we embrace our loved ones again. (John 5:28, 29) What a wonderful time that will be!

The Beirut Baptist School is grateful to the blessings bestowed through the selfless giving and the hearty Zeal of our dear friend Sam Moore.  The BBS students, from diverse cultures and backgrounds will always benefit from Sam's love, care and support to expand the school which allows us to serve them better. 
His body is healed now, enjoying the presence of His Lord and Savior Jesus, for which a smile is drawn on His family's face.

Br. Sam Moore came alongside LSESD as we were shrugging off the traces of the Lebanese Civil War and preparing our seminary, school academy, and publishing house to move forward in response to a calling to empower the Church in the MENA region, and to serve the local community.  It was a relationship focused on seeing God glorified, people reconciled and communities restored through the Church in the Arab World.  A relationship and partnership that brought many blessings to the local Church,  to LSESD ministries, and to the people and communities we serve.  Blessings that continue to-date.  
 
Br. Sam was a man with a vision.  He will be greatly missed.

It was with deepest sorrow that we received from Nabil Costa the news of Sam's home going. What comforts us is that we know he is enjoying the face of the Savior. Even if he could, he wouldn't come back and miss a minute of the glories of heaven.

I am glad that I have met Sam several times during his visits to Beirut and shared with him the good news about our ministry at LSESD. I was always touched by his zeal and vision as to how to spread the good news in Lebanon and the Middle East. We will always cherish his memory particularly when we see the name of Sam and Peggy Moore written on the Moore Conference Center at LSESD, and look forward, dear Joe, to meeting you in the near future either in Lebanon or in USA.

As the Chairman of the Board of the Lebanese Society for Educational and Social Development (LSESD), and on behalf of our Board and our General Assembly, allow me to express our deepest condolences and pray God's peace and comfort upon you, your mother, and the rest of the family.

Sam was more than just a friend. He was an inspiration to me, and in some aspects even a mentor. I still remember our very first meeting in his office eighteen year ago – the piercing eyes and short but firm phrases that hid behind them a kind, gentle, and generous man.  One who refused to be blinded by his success, for to him it was never an end in itself.  Nor was he blinded to the gifts that God had given him, and which he was keen to use faithfully and fruitfully, to his Lord’s glory and the expansion of His Kingdom.  
 
Sam was eager to come alongside us as we pursued a mission to empower the Church in the MENA region.  Generations of young Middle Eastern pastors from Tunisia, Algeria,  Sudan, Egypt, Syria and Lebanon are grateful for his generous giving that enabled them to get equipped for better service.
 
We grieve Sam’s death, but we know the he is in a better place now. Rejoicing with the Lord whom he loved, and has faithfully served desirous of hearing His words  “Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!"

Dear Peggy and Family,

“Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints” (Psalm 116: 15).

We were very saddened to hear the news of Sam’s death and that he is no longer among us. 

We cannot fail to remember a true partner and a faithful friend to Dar Manhal Al Hayat in the ministry of the Christian publishing.

Sam has always believed in the impact of the book on the human life and supported our ministry in the Arab world, to spread the word of God and let it do its work in changing people’s hearts. Books that were supported by Sam, are still being distributed among Arabic speaking communities, and will remain available for the coming decades.

His influence has taught us the meaning of true giving and sacrifice for the sake of the work of the Lord. He no longer lives, yet his work and influence remain. 

Our team at Dar Manhal Al Hayat - Lebanon, expresses its most heartfelt condolences to the Moore family and friends. May the Lord give you comfort and bring you solace in this painful loss.

Sam was an amazing man who I had the privilege to work for when I was CEO of his UK company. He and his brother, Charles, taught me so much. 
Sam was one of life's great characters and we all have our own Sam stories.  He was amazingly smart and driven but had a real passion for all things Christian. He had a real mission heart and quietly helped so many. He will be missed but his legacy lives on. Well done good and faithful servant, it was an honor to have known you.

Dear Peggy and family,

We are deeply saddened by the passing away of Sam. We are profoundly grateful for Sam’s life of sacrificial giving. We  thank God for his life and his support to our seminary and students who are spread all over Middle Eastern and North African countries. Sam always had a dream to plant churches in the Arab world. We praise the Lord as his dream is fulfilled every year through ABTS and its graduates.

Dear Peggy, Joe, Sandra and Rachel,

A truly GREAT man has left us.  I'm saddened to hear of his passing but know that by now Jesus has said to Sam, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant!"  I'm thankful for having gotten to know you all at FBCMJ.    I'm also so thankful and understand Sam's heartfelt desire for Joe to understand the Bible and that being the driving force for the New King James Bible version.  Joe was my son Josh's Sunday School teacher and I was delighted when Josh came home one day with one of the first copies of that version.  Joe thoughtfully had given them to all of his class.  I had that heartfelt desire for Joshua as well because I had trouble understanding the original KJV version, too.  Thank you for that gift to my family!!  This is a wonderful legacy that Sam leaves behind, giving us all the ability to fully understand what it is like to really know and have a relationship with Jesus Christ!! 

You all are in my thoughts and prayers.  You are dearly valued and loved.  I pray for God to envelope you in His comfort and care during this time of mourning.

Dear Peggy and family,
You are very much in my heart with thoughts and prayers. Both you and Sam have been very special to me (and Bob, specially - like brothers) for many years.  My memories of our times together are many and sweet.  It seems almost like yesterday that Sam visited us in Augusta (60 years) to tell us he had met you, was in love, 'had the fever' and was getting married - giving us an invitation.  We shared Homecomings, food and fellowship with much laughter - even French Camp!
Would so like to be with you at this time.  It meant so much to me to have you both present at Bob's homegoing.

Dear Peggy and Family: 10 precious years were spent at Thomas Nelson as NW Sales and Mkt.  Fond memories of Sam and all his kindness shown.
