Samuel "Sonny" Lockett

Samuel “Sonny” Lockett, 80, of Antioch, passed away Friday July 5, 2024. Sonny was born on June 11, 1944 in Nashville, TN. to Sam and Viola Lockett. Sonny graduated from Donelson High School and went to work for DuPont before joining Cumberland Oil, where he worked for the past 56 years. He enjoyed working, spending time with his family and playing pool with his friends on a daily basis.

Sonny was preceded in death by his parents Sam and Viola Lockett, sisters; Mary Denard and Georgia Klaassen, and a brother; Johnny Lockett.

Sonny is survived by his son, Travis Vincent Lockett, daughter, Jennifer Lynn (David) Hammond, sister; Bonita Whittle, Grandchildren; Brittney N. (Eric) Wisniewski, Ashley C. Lucas, Shane Hammond, great grandchildren; Elijah Wisniewski and Hadley Wisniewski,

A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday July 9, 2024 at the Hermitage Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens and from 4:00 – 8:00 pm and Wednesday from 11:00-1:00 pm. The celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00PM. Interment will follow in the Hermitage Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers: David Hammond, Shane Hammond, Elijah Wisniewski, David Trotter, Jerry Andrews and Jason Davis.
